Car restorations is a leading passion among many vehicle enthusiasts and is booming industry in its own right. But how, exactly, does one learn the process of rebuilding an automobile?

This small guide offers some tips and places to look for information as you pursue your newest hobby.

1. STARTING WITH SMALL:-

2. GET HELP FROM- AND HELP- YOUR FRIENDS :-
You're sure to have at least one or two friends or family members in your circle who likes working on cars, and they usually have car minded friends as well. Offer to help out on their next project, and consult them whether you run into a roadblock on your own project. Car enthusiasts are a tight-knit community, and they're almost always happy to share knowledge.

3.READ BOOKS :-
There are a number of automative repairs manuals available for vehicles of all types, Aftermarket DIY manuals such as Bentley, Haynes, and Chilton Total Car Care advanced mechanics. If money tight, check your local library for books and other resources.

There are oodles of internet resources available for people interested in vehicle restoration. YouTube is loaded with how to videos that can teach you about everything from engines to transmission. Online vehicles forums and blogs also offer a wealth of information, including build threads, steps - by - step guides, and tips often with pictures included.

5. TAKE CLASSES :-
If you are looking for formal training, many local vocational schools or community colleges offer inexpensive classes on various aspects of vehicles mechanics.

6.DETERMINE THE TYPE OF PROJECT:-
Take into consideration the level of restoration needed and that you are prepared to carry out. The age, type, and condition of the vehicle will dictate just how much will be involved. Your project will likely be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, but these are consideration you need to keep in mind before you purchase the vehicle to restore.

7. ACCESS YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:-
Take stock of your technical abilities prior to considering the extent of the project. You need to be brutally honest with yourself.

8. DO IT YOURSELF :-

Details about Classic Car Restoration

Why restore a classic car ?

If you haven't something pretty, rare and valuable ; not to make money would be my first suggestion. Mercedes 560SL, Lister Corvette , Red 280SL, 1969 Mercedes Benz etc etc than a full, higher quality classic cars will cost more than the car is currently worth. However, that's not important to look at in my opinion. May be you are personally attached to your classic car, it may have been your closest one in your whole life. Then the price is irrelevant.
1968 Mustang Fastback

You can buy a new car for vast sums of money within 6 years its totally worthless. The quality of a restoration  car will stand in the test of time and they are not making anymore TR3a Triumphs or Jaguar Rtypes or 1969 MGB's with one drive or whatever vehicles you have .
